Lanai is a small community, but it has many options for places to stay. Accommodations are offered to visitors to sleep, rest and recuperate from a long day of exploring, or just relax and take in the beauty of the natural surroundings from the mountains to the sea.

Depending upon how you want to experience Lanai, you may choose to stay at a hotel, resort, bed and breakfast, or a home or condo rental. Hotels

There is only one hotel available on Lanai in Lanai City, called the Hotel Lanai. It is a historical inn that has the old plantation home styling. It is very small, with only 10 rooms. It also has a one-bedroom cottage that it rents for visitors who want more privacy and the feeling of what it is like to live on Lanai.

Resorts

There are two main resorts on the island of Lanai that are owned by Four Seasons resort chain. The Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay sits oceanside on a white sand beach. It borders a marine reserve area that includes dolphins and turtles. Two golf courses sit on the property for your entertainment and relaxation. The resort also has a fitness facility, tennis courts, day spa, cultural events, a child activity program, computer service, and fine dining. The accommodations here range from $425 to $995 for two adults and two children.

The Four Seasons Resort Lanai, The Lodge at Koele is in the region of Central Lanai. It is a country style resort setting in the upcountry area of Lanai. There is one golf course, horseback riding opportunities, a fitness facility, day spa, and fine dining. The prices at this resort range from $345 to $850 for two adults and two children.

Bed and Breakfasts

To experience Lanai as the locals of the island live, bed and breakfast establishments are a relaxing alternative to a hotel or resort. The bed and breakfasts in Lanai are mainly located in Lanai City and are usually renovated, old plantation homes. The Lanai Plantation Home offers visitors an opportunity to experience the solitude of Lanai, as it sits minutes away from downtown Lanai City. Dreams Come True on Lanai bed and breakfast is a four bedroom, four bath home that is furnished and surrounded by local trees bearing the island fruits of papayas, bananas, and avocados. You have the option of renting a single room or the entire home. The Hale Moe is a three bedroom, three bath home where breakfast if offered each morning. You also have the choice of renting the entire home or just a room.

Condo and Vacation Rentals

Condo and home vacation rentals are mainly located in Koele and Lanai City. The condo rentals sit oceanfront to the beautiful white sand beaches, giving its visitors the comfort of a large unit, especially if staying on Lanai for a long vacation. The home rentals are mainly plantation style homes that offer visitors the true feeling of living on Lanai. The Lanai Hui Captain’s Retreat is great for large families, for example, as it can sleep up to 10 people and is conveniently located in Lanai City.
